Description of Dooble 1.31
Download manager, e-mail, messenger, search engine
Dooble Web Browser is an intuitive application: However, what is a browser without a search engine? Hence, the integrated, distributed search engine YaCy. Each and every Dooble user, under their supervision, contributes to a high capacity search engine. Dooble Web Browser has no build in User-Track-ID, which is sent to central servers. That allows to search and surf the web without the monitoring of your search behaviour by any web search.
Key features
• Integrated RetroMessenger & Email-Client - The built-in RetroMessenger allows users to communicate with friends in a secure and pleasant manner. And encrypted e-mails are sent with the tabbed email client. To use this messenger and email client you need to generate your personal GnuPGP-Certificate and exchange it with your friends, you want to add the the friendslist.
• Downloadmanager with OFF-Torrent support - Dooble Web Broser has a cool Downloadmanager. You can download any http- or ftp-URL and soon we build in the option to download OFF-Torrents from the OFF-Network (http-URLs). Furthermore the Downloadmanager allows to download Youtube-URLs and save them converted in the mp3-format.
• The Dooble Button - Dooble Web Broser allows to surf the website directly or to use a proxy for the visit. If you use the proxy, your IP is hidden and the website cannot get your IP adress. That is like the TOR-button, but just one hop, so while your IP is secure, the data retention of logging websites is mixed up.
• Integrated Dooble Desktop & FileManager - It's September 8th, 2008. A small team of developers around Gunther van Dooble launch http://dooble.sf.net. History is made. To reiterate, Dooble comes with several security-focused features in order to provide users the freedom to enjoy the World Wide Web. The Web browser that you, and only you, control. December 04, 2008 the fist release of Dooble Web Browser v. 0.01 has been made for Windows. Dooble is an Open Source software project and is licensed under the GPLv2. Complete license and copyright information can be found within the source code of the dooble web browser project. Why the name? Dooble is a play on words. As Dooble refuses to track a user's Web activity, the user assumes a "dooble" identity. Be free, get a Dooble. Second, Dooble makes the user-to-user communication over the Web safe and secure. It's as safe as communicating with someone face-to-face. Therefore, the "face in the mirror" logo. Third, Dooble is, of course, a homage to the founder Gunther van Dooble.
• Compile for Mobile Devices: Maemo, Openmoko and Nokia N 900 - Dooble Web Browser is ready to compile for mobile devices and phones: e.g. Dooble can be used on OpenMoko Phone and compiles prety good for the maemo SDK: So you can run your dooble on the famous Nokia N 900 Phone. The iPhone needs to be build still - anyone like to volunteer? In fact Dooble Web Browser can be used on all ARMEL mobile phone devices.

What is new in version 1.31
• Avoid closed tabs when searching for tabs that may contain modified content.

• Increased the maximum number of characters of menu actions from 50 to 100.

• Cookie, download, and exception information for session-based processes will not be stored to their respective databases.
• The dview::slotIconDownloadFinished() method will now attempt to process HTTP redirects.
