One of the best file encryption solution

Utilizing the latest in compression and encryption technology eCrypto primary goal is to make military grade encryption available to everyone.

For those who wish to safeguard their privacy, especially whilst sending text, audio or visual documents online, then eCrypto is for you. eCrypto not only encrypts the data it also encrypts the file names themselves for added security.

It also has the added bonus of compressing your files to a far more manageable size.

With it?s unique format?s file extension (.ecr) it also has the added bonus of sidestepping the problem of attaching files to most web based email solutions.

The encryption features built into Windows have always been clunky and lacked usability. With eCrypto, not only can you encrypt any document using full-strength, military-grade encryption, but you can compress each file as well.

eCrypto encrypts any type of document very quickly using its proprietary .ecr file format. You can use eCrypto on just about any file, whether it’s an audio file or a Word document, or even an application. The files will be encrypted using any of several 128-bit encryption algorithms. These include AES, BlowFish, Serpent and TwoFish. While the program boasts military grade capabilities, it’s probably safe to say that most militaries are using more advanced protocols by now. However, this is some of the toughest encryption you can get outside of a government entity.

eCrypto is an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop application. Simply drag each file you want to encrypt to the eCrypto window. You can then choose which encryption algorithm to use for the .ecr file. All your encrypted files will then be stored in this .ecr file, and the file name itself will be encrypted for added security. This is a nice touch that you won’t find in many encryption programs.

eCrypto’s interface is very easy to use. You won’t have to scroll through dozens of options when you’re encrypting each file. While this precludes the program from being very customizable, it also saves loads of time if you encrypt files often. Once you have encrypted a set of files into an .ecr file, you can attach it to an e-mail and send it to a friend or colleague with eCrypto, who can then enter a key to decrypt the file on their end.
