Editor's review for Mixed-Up Math
Puzzles like Sudoku have become popular amongst many people around the world thanks in no small part due to their overall ease of play as well as their ability to allow us to exercise our logic in a number of different ways. Following in the footsteps of this concept comes Mixed-Up Math, a logic puzzle where not only do you need to actively think on your feet in terms of how each square interacts with its neighbors but actively test your math skills to complete a range of difficult tasks set forth before you.
Played by dragging and dropping different number squares to generate different equations, Mixed-Up Match challenges users to think in multiple directions at once in order to achieve the right result. This is done through any number of mathematical symbols represented throughout the board, with the game itself using over 30 formula formats such as crosses, boxes, ladders and mazes in order to push your mind to its limit and make connections it may not make otherwise. Because of its format, this makes it a great game for people of all ages, meaning that children just beginning to study mathematics and adults looking to refine their skills can both get involved in the fun that is Mixed-Up Math and even challenge each other to see who can do their own puzzle the fastest.
Although this is described as an "educational" game, don't be fooled by the term. Mixed-Up Math is just as engaging if not more so than many other challenging puzzles offered around the world today, with its simple yet engaging nature meaning that it's easy to be picked up but hard to be put down once you get started in the process. Further, its flexible application means that it can be used in any number of settings ranging from simple amusement to even large-group education in order to practice new principles and apply logic both at home and in the classroom.
Be warned, however - the game is free to try, yet once you start playing you may not be able to stop and will keep coming back for more. It's truly one of the best possible investments that any educator, parent or even a bored puzzle enthusiast can make due to the ever-changing, ever growing challenges that it can bring to help keep things both exciting and engaging day in, day out.
