Editor's review for Jpegcrop

For many image developers out there, the ability to seamlessly crop a JPEG file yet still be able to retain the original image's data would be a dream come true. After all, for virtually all image editing software available on the market today (including some of the top-end programs used by many professional graphics designers) any cropping or editing requires the original image to be lost to the editor and the cropped image to be saved as a separate file.

The need for an efficient way to edit and use various JPEG images in a lossless format that would enable the user to still recall the original image as needed gave birth to Jpegcrop - a freeware program that allows for the easy editing and recalling of JPEG data in real-time formats. Designed with the user in mind, Jpegcrop quickly and easily allows users to designate key fields that they wish to crop out of a photograph and save the selected image information. This information is then saved on top of the original file in a format that can either be compressed or decompressed by the algorithms established by Jpegcrop for usage in any number of formats both online and offline.

The benefits of this are many for users regardless of what you may need to utilize your JPEG photos for. Photos taken for personal usage, for instance, can be easily cropped and re-saved for display to your friends or family members without needing to sacrifice any information that may be present in the other areas of the photo - meaning that no precious memories are ever lost due to a need to cut out unnecessary information at one particular time.

Unfortunately, for some, however, Jpegcrop does not feature any batch photo editing capabilities. This means that if you have a large number of photographs to process this can be somewhat of a time consuming prospect, though at the same time, the necessity to have detailed cropping areas designated for each photo does not overly impact this in too much of a way. Additionally, the ease of use of Jpegcrop means that even large photo processing is a breeze once you get a hang of it.

Still, a lot of people may be somewhat hesitant about utilizing a program like Jpegcrop instead of their favorite photo processing program even though Jpegcrop is a freeware software that is accessible to all. After all, many photo editing programs require extensive training and experience to master, so adding an additional tool to that can simply complicate matters further in an already hectic life.

For this reason, the developers of Jpegcrop have made the software code for the program open for individuals to incorporate into the editing program of their choice. This means that regardless of what you may use normally to edit you photos with a little tweaking the benefits of Jpegcrop can be added to your favorite program to bring about additional functionality without sacrificing any of the benefits that are already available to you otherwise - so go out and get a copy of your own today!
