Description of All in One Sidebar 0.7.14

A nice sidebar extension for you Firefox browser
All-in-One Sidebar is a sidebar control, inspired by Opera's. It lets you quickly switch between sidebars, view dialog windows such as downloads, extensions, and more in the sidebar, or view source code or websites in the sidebar.

All-in-One Sidebar also includes a slide-out button and a toolbar, all of which can be extensively customized. All-In-One Sidebar provides also enhancements for many built-in and extension features and some extra features.

Key features

• Open in the sidebar: Bookmarks, History, Downloads, Add-ons (Get Add-ons, Extensions, Themes and Plugins), Page Info, Page Source and Error Console
• All-in-One Sidebar Toolbar: fully configurable, different view modes, placeable at different positions around the sidebar
• Automatically show/hide the sidebar without a click - with additional toolbar button (off by default)
• Sidebar orientation left or right
• Sidebar Switch to toggle the toolbar and the sidebar with only one click (with additional features for Ctrl+Left-click [middle-click] and Shift+Left-click)
• Sidebar Grippy to collapse the sidebar
• Sidebar collapsing for boosting up your experience
• MultiPanel Sidebar - open a website, the source code or different browser information (e.g. about:config) in the sidebar
• PanelTab Button - open any sidebar content in a new tab or in a window and open any tab content in the sidebar
• Fully configurable keyboard shortcuts
• Customize the behavior of the sidebar at startup, in full screen mode and more. E.g. you can choose a sidebar panel which should open automatically at browser startup
• Sidebar Panel Button (AiOS Button) - easy access all installed sidebar panels. All sidebar extensions are supported, which creates a menu item in Firefox's sidebar menu
• Toolbar buttons for all new sidebar panels with options to open the content in the sidebar, in a new tab or in a window
• Toolbar button for showing/hiding the All-in-One Sidebar Toolbar.
• Set the minimum, default and maximum width of the sidebar and restore these settings easily
• Export/import settings from the options dialog - allows easier configuration on a second computer or after creating a new profile

Editor's review for All in One Sidebar

Mozilla Firefox has long been hailed by many users as a leap forward in internet browsing thanks to many of the inherent features and benefits it packs into its system. Designed to be open source and open to modification, countless add-ons and other extensions for the already steady, reliable system that is Firefox are available on the market now, with countless others on the way in the future.

With so much selection, though, it can be easy for many users to get caught-up in everything that they can do to their normal browser and end up over-complicating it in many ways, sacrificing valuable browsing window space for additional features or capabilities to make their online browsing experience one step better. In order to cope with this overload of information and allow users to maximize their browser's potential, a number of different programs have been developed; however, none have been quite as effective and easy to use as the All-In-One Sidebar.

Based upon Opera's built-in sidebar feature, the All-In-One Sidebar works to add numerous levels of interactivity that would normally require a large selection of other add-ons to work out as a built-in feature while at the same time remaining flexible to expand and fit any computer user's needs. All of this fits into a small slide-out addition that can be aligned to the left or right of your browser page and is fully customizable not only for the applications that it can assist you with accessing but also with the overall size that its footprint has upon your view page.

While this may seem like only a minor benefit for some consider the overall benefit it can have for you as a user. Most web pages, for instance, are set to appear optimally at a resolution of 1024x768, the standard resolution for many computer screens. On most modern computers, however, the actual resolution is higher than this - particularly on widescreen computers that have nearly replaced other standard 4:3 screen monitors in terms of popularity. This means that the overall area from left-to-right is substantially larger than from top-to-bottom, equating to wasted space in terms of viewing pages.

While normal additions add new toolbars to the top of your browser, thus limiting your overall lateral viewing pane, the All-In-One Sidebar works to add all additions to the side of the page - utilizing the space that would otherwise be wasted in order to ensure that you do not lose any valuable viewing ground. This means that you can view more information easier and quicker with less scrolling necessary and all without losing access to any of your favorite add-ons.

Best of all is that the All-In-One Sidebar stays true to Firefox's nature and is released under a GNU, meaning that it is absolutely free of charge for anyone to download and start utilizing today.

Get a copy for yourself now to see for yourself just how much it can change your online web browsing experience and you may never go back to your old browser format again.
