Centralized management for user accounts, servers and domains

Ideal Administration will simplify the administration of Windows networks by integrating all functionalities needed to manage user accounts, servers and domains. The product allows remote control of your Windows systems, including user password migration between NT/2000 domains, TSE & Exchange (5.5 & 2000) management, Active Directory management (OU, Windows 2000 groups, Windows 2000 user properties)and management of trusted relationships. It also allows to create or modify NT services/devices on several computers at once as well as transfer between servers, computers, groups, users, shares and printers.

Additional features include database recording of user properties, groups and shared folders, daily recording of sessions and opened files, command line operation and more. Ideal Administration looks very similar to the Windows 2000 "Manage Computer" MSC and provides access to almost all administrative functions for the entire domain from a single, easy to use interface.

If you are looking for a way to seamlessly administer all of your Windows computers from one central location, look no further than Pointdev’s Windows administration tools. While other applications may only permit the user to perform one of the many functions able to be undertaken by IDEAL Administration 2011, this program integrates a number of functions into one, making it easier for you to administer your Windows computers.

One of IDEAL Administration’s most notable functions is its ability to allow users to control other Windows workstations remotely. Many programs package this function in with a number of other features that you may not even need, often at a considerable cost to the purchaser! However, IDEAL Administration ‘IDEAL Remote’ tool allows the remote administrator to easily change the computer’s properties and open files from a distance, without having to see the computer from the administrator’s desk. Again, this feature is notable for its packaging with other useful tools – a refreshing change from the actions of other software developers in the packaging of many similar functions with other useless tools!

IDEAL Dispatch is one of these ‘useful tools’ packaged with the IDEAL Remote function. IDEAL Dispatch allows system administrators to remotely manage the software installed on their systems, whether the actions required are software installations or uninstallations. In addition, administrators are able to easily execute scripts on their client workstations through IDEAL Dispatch, removing the need for administrators to physically command their workstations to perform actions.

Another standout feature of IDEAL Adminstration is the ability of the system administrator to ‘administer’ their computers remotely over the Internet. While many similar administration tools require administrators to be on the same local area network as the computers they are trying to control, IDEAL Administration offers a simple solution to those administrators who are often on the move and need to take control of their systems from another location.

Ultimately, while more ‘flashy’ software options are available at a much higher price, Pointdev’s IDEAL Administration tool suite is all that an administrator needs to effectively control his or her workstation network. The IDEAL Administration tool suite is by no means the most feature-packed or gaudy software option available, but it will do what any administrator needs at a very, very low cost. Many other software suites combine useless tools that administrators will likely never use with their packages, driving the cost up for administrators and making IDEAL Administration an even more attractive choice!
