Editor's review for JEuclid
JEuclid is the pet project of Max Berger who has developed many useful and informative programs. It is a comprehensive solution compatible with and supporting MathML 1.0.1 and 2.0, and also for OpenOffice MathML 1.0.1. Any file with an .odf extension (OpenDocument Formula) or .xml or .mml extensions (XML files) can be loaded in all applications of JEuclid by you. It is an application for MathViewer and enables conversions to different formats from MathMl.
Before downloading JEuclid please keep in mind that there are numerous binary programs, some of which make available all formats supported by JEuclid while some support the minimum formats (like .svg, .png, .pdf) which are usually demanded by users. It is strongly recommended that you download some additional programs like the DejaVu fonts, Arial Unicode Ms for maximum results. Since there are characters in MathMl which form the character set of CJK, it is essential that you download the support for Asian font as well. You can get a detailed knowledge of all the output formats which for JEuclid supports are available.
The types of image output supported by JEuclid very much depend upon the Java version used by you. By default, JEuclid supports all types of image outputs supported by ImageIO. You can pickup extra plug-ins for image outputs from the classpath. To get the right compatibility with FOP, you need to check out the exact version of JEuclid you have downloaded. Some of the older versions of FOP are not compatible with the latest versions of JEuclid and hence, you may have to change either of these downloads for optimum compatibility.
Many of the scientific students, teachers and researchers need to have mathematical equations and diagrams input in their programs. The output is not in the required sequence and is therefore very difficult to grasp due to the complicated sequence of the inputted data in the final output structure. The JEuclid program helps these mathematicians to get the required format of output for their mathematical and scientific works. The conversion facilities of MathMl to convert inputted data to various desired relevant formats have made it very popular with the scientific and mathematics oriented community.
The JEuclid program can act as an art to help you in automatic conversion of your file formats. JEuclid happens to be a comprehensive solution for MathMl comprising of an application called MathViewer, converters based on commands for conversion of MathMl o desired formats, and also components capable of displaying AWT and Swing and Apache Cocoon. JEuclid is free from any spyware and is also free from any adware. The latest version of JEuclid has been given a full makeover and also includes facility of doing translation work in Italian and has improved documentation facilities.
It is no wonder that even the scientific brains are queuing for this JEuclid – the mathematical structure output genius program!
