A great tool to analyze datasets with ease

DASS-GUI is an easy to use application written in C++ designed to enable users to calculate all significan't closed sets of a given dataset containing the host sets. DASS-GUI also allows additional analyses of the identified closed sets: filtering, handling of synonymous names, enrichment analyses, calculation of means and standard deviations of different numerical features, extraction of the underlying closed set hierarchy and corresponding export as GML file, as well as comparison (validation) with pre-defined sets.

DASS-GUI permits calculations and analyzes closed sets of any specific dataset which contain host sets. It can also evaluates other closed sets like handling of names which are synonymous, do calculation of standard deviations and means of various features of numerical values, analyzes enrichments, validate and compare sets which are previously defined and exporting as GML files which have been extracted from underlying hierarchy of closed sets. Closed sets are those which do not have any superset possessing identical frequency and can number 2n-1 where n=number of host sets.

To begin with DASS-GUI, you have to have installed Qt Runtime Environment 4.1v. Varying versions of DASS-GUI are accessible for Mac, Linux and MS Windows. The Windows version has an automatic executable installer containing the relevant QT-dll files hence no specific files are needed for installation of DASS-GUI.

This program is compatible for Mac, MS Windows and Linux on 32 bit and for Linux on 64 bit with RAM of 512 megabytes. Though for maximum output for a larger data, you may need more RAM power to run in analysis and calculation modes. The software is an ‘AS IS’ program with no implied or expressed warranties or any representation of warranty with relation to its performance or commercial feasibility or viability or its effectiveness and safety. It must note that this software should not be exported or leased or sold or transferred in part or whole to any one, without the explicit and prior permission from the creators.
