Spherical Chess 400 is a 2-player, perfect-information game classified as an elimination game generally and a royal queens game specifically. It is a spherical-surface, 3-D game yet it can be represented, viewed and played via any/all of 4 available opening setups using a 2-D gameboard with 2-D pieces.

Spherical Chess 400 is a 2-player, perfect information game that is generally classified as a elimination game but specifically, it is a royal queens game. The surface is spherical and it can be played on any of the 4 opening setups with 2D game boards and 2D pieces. Keep in mind that there aren’t 4 variants. Spherical Chess 400 is just one game. With the 4 opening setups, you get different perspectives of the same 3D game. Choose the one you find it more appropriate from a geometrical point of view when you’re playing white or black.
There are thirty two 2D representations of the game in total. Spherical Chess 400 is a symmetrical chess variant and this is very important because any asymmetrical game is an imperfect game.
