It also include location information of 270 countries and regions, 50000+ cities, 15000+ islands and 50000+ earthquakes from 1973; And outline information of political boundaries, rivers, lakes, coastlines of the world and etc.
All those map information was integrated together for providing a total 3D view of our beautiful planet earth. You can place your own placemarks and path routes to the map, show GPS tracks on the map and keep them with the maps if you connected with a GPS device. Beside these, it has many other interesting functions, you can regard it is a kind of educational scientific software of geography.

Earth Explorer is a digital map of the entire globe and unlike many other programs Earth Explorer has full GPS support as well as ultra high quality satellite images of the globe.
Earth Explorer is the premier high resolution global map program. Earth Explorer is not just a map however; it has plenty more unique and useful features as well. Perhaps the most unique and useful feature of Earth Explorer is the ability to connect it directly to most GPS devices. By linking Earth Explorer to a GPS device users can track and monitor where they have gone, Earth Explorer can also calculate distances between two locations while moving.
Despite all of the things Earth Explorer can do it does not require a very powerful computer. Earth Explorer will run on any version of Windows newer than Windows 2000; it will also run on Mac OSX as well. The technical requirements for Earth Explorer are also very low meaning that nearly every computer should be able to run it with absolutely no trouble at all.
