Description of FeedTray 3.2.0.0

Original and versatile news feed aggregator
FeedTray is a tiny news feed aggregator with a difference - it doesn't have a main window to clutter up your precious screen space with! Instead FeedTray will appear as a tiny little icon in your Windows task tray and periodically monitors your favorite news feeds and unobtrusively notifies you when new articles are posted. Clicking the icon brings up a live structured menu with the newsfeed content already embedded in it.

So you can decide whether or not to read the whole article.

Key features

• Sits right in your Windows task tray as an unobtrusive icon
• Notifies you about new articles in the feeds YOU want to monitor, without interrupting you.
• Neatly integrates the feeds' images into the menu, alongside the articles
• Sorts the articles into categories according to the authors specifications
• Has the ability to read enclosures and podcasts - all within the article's menu

Editor's review for FeedTray

With so much information floating around cyberspace today, it's sometimes easy to get lost in the giant shifting of news information that bombards us day in, day out. Social media websites like Twitter, for instance, allow us to have virtually instant updates from anyone we choose to follow with other websites such as Facebook and MySpace allowing us to keep in touch with our friends, family or even complete strangers on a regular basis. On top of this, RSS feeds from our favorite websites that let us know of important new flashes or other updates come and go on a regular basis, with feed readers taking up valuable screen space on our computers and preventing us from fully utilizing our machine to the best of its ability while monitoring important information at the same time.

With this in mind, an important program is needed - one that allows us to quickly and easily track all of our favorite information without sacrificing important computer resources or screen space in the process. To that end, Feed Tray was designed - a simple yet effective program that sits quietly in your computer's system tray and monitors all of your favorite RSS feeds without becoming bothersome in any way to you as a computer user.

Being able to display up to 10 feeds free of charge, the full version of Feed Tray allows users to view and have automatically organized any number of RSS feeds for your reference. This means that Feed Tray, rather than yourself, can quickly and quietly check, organize, and deliver all of the latest news to you on your computer desktop for reference anytime, anywhere all from the corner of your screen without you needing to dedicate hours of your precious time each and every day monitoring and updating your feed information.

How does it do this, exactly? Feed Tray's design makes it able to utilize minimum system resources and space to ping designated websites and file away important feed information based upon author specifications, meaning that every feed it draws upon is instantly filed away in appropriate categories for the fastest reading and referencing possible. This means that you as a user not only can dedicate the majority of your time to reading important updates rather than searching for them in a mass amount of information overload but at the same time can rest assured that you won't have regular updates interrupting whatever you may be doing at the time by taking up valuable screen space.

Whether you're new to the RSS feed scheme or an experienced feed viewer, Feed Tray is the right choice for you, doing what virtually every other feed reader cannot do and allow you to quickly and easily keep up to speed with all of the latest information from your favorite websites without needing to sacrifice in any way to do so.

In short, there's no reason to not use Feed Tray today - so download a free copy for yourself now to try it out before you waste any more of your precious time trying to keep up with what's going on in the world through other outdated means.
