FileZilla is an FTP, FTPS, and SFTP cross-platform client that brings together a full range of features and a comprehensive interface. Lightweight and available in several languages, this multiple protocol FTP client is also IPv6 compliant and open to improvements thanks to dedicated forum and wiki, as it is a GNU project.

While possible to control transfer speed limits, this tool can’t handle over 4 GB file downloads. However, resume and keep-alive features count for reliable file transfer software that integrates drag & drop support and remote file search and editing.

Through bookmarking, tabbed interface, and internet browser integration, it becomes easy to control FTP client.
