Network monitor and controller. Block spywares, limit speed
NetPeeker is a network monitor and control tool for personal Internet user. By revealing all applications accessing network and their connections, showing speed in real time, you can find more hidden information about your network.

The build-in personal firewall protect you from hackers' attack from outside. You can find those "Spyware" or "Trojan" and block them. You can kill connections you don't want without shutdown the application.

You can trace back to the source to find who is the guy and report abuse. You can setup speed throttle to limit network bandwidth usage for every application and every connection, and also can guarantee bandwidth for critical applications

Build-in filter can kill most popup window for you when you surf Internet, it can even kill those "flying windows" which cannot be killed by other popup killer.

Editor's review for NetPeeker

Whether you are cruising down the state highway or surfing the information highway, there are two words guaranteed to ruin your day - TRAFFIC JAM! Even with the speed of DSL and cable broadband network connections, there are times when your internet access seems to slow down to a snail's pace. The Microsoft Windows Task Manager provides a basic tool to see what is running on your computer but all that will tell you is the names of the programs running, how much memory they are taking up and what percentage of the CPU is being consumed. What it doesn't tell you is how much of your precious bandwidth is being eaten up.

Most computer users are unaware of exactly how many programs are running; all they see are the ones that they have personally started such as their web browser, Adobe Acrobat, and iTunes. Many of these programs will periodically check for updates and download them to be ready to be installed. Although this saves you the time of manually checking for updates, if a lot of these "updaters" kick in at the same time, your computer will crawl to a halt. Then there are the nastiest that can creep into your computer: viruses and malware. Many viruses and malware will try to access your computer through the internet and in some cases, try to send your personal information and contacts to cyber criminals.

Without a tool to help you understand what is happening on your computer, you are helpless and exposed. Enter the wonderful innovation of NetPeeker. It is an easy to use network monitoring and control tool for the individual internet user. It takes only five minutes to download, install and have the software telling you exactly what is happening on your computer. It will show you a real time list of all programs accessing the internet, how they are connecting and how much bandwidth (i.e. speed) is being consumed both into and out of your computer.

There is a built-in firewall to protect you from hacker attacks which works hand-in-hand with the Windows Defender firewall giving you two levels of protection. From the list of programs, you can identify the culprits and block them with a click of the mouse. It can also trace the trojan or malware back to its source on the internet to find who is the guy and enable you to report the abuse. Sometimes you will know the program that is running, e.g. a file-sharing program or Twitter monitor. You can stop their connections without shutting them down and restart it when you are ready.
