Phone Plus is a telephone dialer with optional Caller ID and speakerphone support. Organize contact information in multiple phone books and dial using a standard modem. Auto-redial busy numbers and log incoming or outgoing calls.

Caller ID features include Auto-Name-Lookup, E-Mail Notification, Speech Synthesis, and Auto-Hang-Up on unwanted callers. Place and receive calls using the full-featured speakerphone if your modem supports it. Handle voice call requests from other programs. Runs as a tray application.

Phone Plus is TAPI compliant and can share your modem with other TAPI programs.

Phone Plus offers its users a variety of options such as speakerphone, hands-free telephone dialer, as well as a built-in contact manager. It also has Caller ID support. Of course, if you choose to use the Caller ID as well as the speakerphone feature, you’ll need a modem at home that supports both of these.

With the Caller ID support feature, when you have an incoming call, a pop-up box will appear informing you of the caller’s name as well as the number they are calling from. You can have your calls set to play a specific .wav file when coming through or you can have a text-to-speech option set. What’s more, with the Caller ID feature, you can arrange it so that only certain important phone calls can come through with the fortunate Do Not Disturb.
